Where does our food supply come from?

Gleaning Kent

We have partnered with Carrie Eeeles, Coordinator of Gleaning Kent. We receive donated supplies of surplus vegetables and fruits, that have been lovingly rescued from local farms by community volunteers. Like us, Gleaning Kent is also funded by the Our Bright Future Funand are a part of the 'Food Waste Heroes' family. It’s #OurBrightFuture and we’re #OwningIt!

The Gleaning Network is a subsidiary of the environmental organisation Feedback Global, which campaigns to end food waste at every level of the food system.

L.E.A.F. Folkestone

We source sustainable food ingredients for our recipes from community initiative L.E.A.F. - Local, Ethical & Affordable Food, based in Folkestone.

All producers are local, spray free or organic and engaged in small-scale conscious farming.  L.E.A.F is committed to finding ways to keep food affordable and accessible, and that supports local farmers & artisan producers, rather than global tax dodging corporations!

DOCKER Fermentation

We source bread for our events from Docker, a bakery and brewery in a shipping container on The Folkestone Harbour Arm, producing quality artisan products. Their sourdough and focaccia loaves and small batch beers are a great alternative to the mass-produced versions.
